Lust List: Spring Fragrance

This time of year is all about cleaning out your closet, rearranging your home and decluttering. I find this the perfect opportunity to do some refreshing in the scent category as well.

I’m usually drawn to similar scents year-round. However, during the spring I tend to gravitate towards more floral/musky tones. Things like lily, vanilla, musk, rose and amber. Mixed with a slight fruity undertone, and you have the perfect prequel to summertime.

So, without further ado, here are my 5 springtime picks:

Maison Martin Margiela – Sephora

Price: $125
Notes: The Sephora website describes this scent as floral, oriental and powdery. With notes of “Bergamot Oil, Heliotrope Accord, Neroli Oil, Orange Flower Absolute, Iris Concrete, Galbanum Oil, Tonka Bean Absolute, Vanilla Bourbon Extract, Patchouli Oil.”

Jo Malone- Selfridges

Price: $53
Notes: Selfridges describes this scent as “The sparkling zest of lemon wakes up a bright bouquet of bigarade and petitgrain, gently exposing the herbaceous heart of sorrel, lemon thyme and rosemary. Beneath, verdant geranium leaves and earthy moss grow complexity at the roots, uplifting the citrus to an elegant finale.”

Tocca- Sephora

Price: $68
Notes: A light and sparkling scents, Sephora tells us it includes notes of “Apple, Watermelon, Lemon, Calypsone, Frangipani, Ylang- Ylang, Rose Petals, Freesia, Creamy Lactones, Blonde Woods, Musk, Amber, Nirvanolide.”

Givenchy- Sephora

Price: $68
Notes: Sephora lists notes including “Berries, Pineapple, Rose, Amber, Musk” with a ‘bright, happy and irresistible’ scent.

Reserve- Sephora

Price: $90
Notes: A ‘sexy, intoxicating and sensual’ scent, Sephora lists notes of “Bergamot Armoise Artemisia, Mandarin Oil, Rose, Lily, Raspberry, Musk, Saffron, Amber.”
