Photoshoot: Suited Up

Hey all,

Here is another photoshoot from my time at Conde Nast College of Fashion and Design. We were divided into groups of three in which we had to come up with a concept for a “Classics Shoot.”

In this team, I came up with the Calvin Klein styling, the makeup and hair looks and our lighting concept. Below are examples of mood boards to assist the model, photographer and hair/makeup artist in creating the look I envisioned.

I introduce you to “Suited Up.”

Imagine a powerful business woman,

taking on a self-created empire.

Glowing, healthy skin, sharp shoulders, and untamed hair.

I moved to London!

Hi friends!

So, big news, I’ve moved. And not just down the block or to another town. I up and moved across the world.

And so far, so good.

Let’s give you a back story, shall we?

I have been in love with fashion since I was a little girl. My favorite part of playing with Barbies when I was younger was buying them accessories and dressing them up time and time again.

One of my University degrees is in fashion, and the town I was living in was just not cutting it as far as inspiration and opportunity goes. And if this is the path I want to take in life, I need to be in an area where that can happen.

Luckily, I was admitted into an incredible program here so I can be surrounded by fashionable individuals in an incredible city where I can learn and grow as a creative person.

I’m so excited!!

Of course it’s also been difficult. Not having family or friends here, having to learn the city yourself (and get lost- a lot) and sometimes just sitting in your room make for a difficult adjustment. But then I’m reminded that I’m 100% surrounded by beauty, fashion, architecture, history and so much more. If I’m ever lonely I can find comfort in the many art museums, make new friends at one of the local coffee shops or simply ride the tube around town to *attempt to* gain some sort of bearing on this city.

So, I hope you’ll stick around for this crazy adventure of mine- I can’t wait to share it with you all 🙂

Until next time,

H&M Summer OOTD

Hi friends!

I am blessed to live in an area that has the most gorgeous of sunsets that bathe the surrounding landscape with orange and pink hued light.

Last week, my good friend and I decided to take advantage of this gorgeous warm evening, take the camera out, and snap some shots.

I am one of those girls who would live in jean shorts if I could- the ease and simplicity just suit me. But sometimes its nice to dress them up a bit- throw on some heels (and inadvertently peel them off within five minutes…as seen below ;)). I also think that its fun to pair some old shorts with an oversized sweater for a casual and flirty look. The one I’m wearing is from H&M that I purchased awhile ago, but a similar one can be found here!

And this is what happened when all that came together…

Shorts- American Eagle

Cardigan Top- H&M

Shoes- Clark’s

Sunglasses- uhhhhmmm no idea.

Necklace- Francesca’s

And that’s all for now lovelies! Let me know what you think!
